Professor Kin Leung's team at Imperial College is a key part of the International Technology Alliance in Distributed Analytics and Information Sciences (DAIS-ITA), a research program supported by the UK Defense Science & Technology Lab (Dstl) and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL). The consortium is led by IBM Research.
The Alliance brings together researchers from the UK Dstl and U.S. Army to work alongside a consortium of universities and industrial research laboratories in U.S. and UK. The goal of the Alliance is to foster collaborative fundamental research in both nations that will enable secure, dynamic, and semantically aware distributed analytics for situational understanding in coalition operations. Members of the Alliance seek to break down barriers, build relationships, develop mutual understanding and work in partnership to develop defence technologies for the U.S. and UK.
