Postgraduate research student Ph.D. supervisor:
Pier Luigi Dragotti and Mike Brookes My research project is about Object Recognition using Multi-view Imaging, in which the single view object recognition (SOR) algorithm is extended into multi-view images, and the concepts of plenoptic function, epipolar geometry constraints are exploited to achieve the multi-view object recognition algorithm (MOR). (See below for some experiments results) [The Imperial College multi-camera array in our lab] [The 7D Plenoptic Function] [EPI (Epipolar-plane Image) volume --linear camera motion] [EPI (Epipolar-plane Image) volume --circular camera motion] [Diparity estimation for multi-view images] [Experimental results for comparison of SOR and MOR for low resolution images] [Experimental results for comparison of SOR and MOR for noisy images (Gaussian noise with zero mean and 0.1 deviation is added to the original images)] [For more details, please see the paper:] Y.
