We are delighted to announce that Dr Christine Evers was awarded an EPSRC Fellowship on “Acoustic Signal Processing and Scene Analysis for Socially Assistive Robots”, starting on 1 January 2017. Congratulations to Felicia Lim and James Eaton who both passed their PhD vivas this week. Felicia is now working at Google while James remains in the lab as a research associate. Well done both.
On 14 April we were pleased to welcome Jesper Jensen from Oticon to give a talk on “Hearing Aid Signal Processing – Selected Topics”. Jesper was visiting the lab as part of our EPSRC-funded E-LOBES project.
We are delighted to welcome Prof Gema Pinero to our group. She is visiting from Polytechnic University of Valencia and will be working with us until July 2016.
