Bio
Nikolay was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1977. At an early age, he followed his family to Uppsala, Sweden, where he spent his teenage years. In 1998 he moved to London to undertake his university studies. In the process of this international lifestyle, he has become fluent in Bulgarian, Swedish and English.
Nikolay obtained the MEng degree in Computer Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London in 2002 and the PhD degree in Acoustic Signal Processing from Imperial College London in 2006. He has been a member of research staff with the Communications and Signal Processing Group at Imperial College London since 2005 where he is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Law Enforcement Audio Research (CLEAR).
In his spare time, he enjoys playing various musical instruments, reading, watching movies, swimming, playing (and watching) tennis and skiing.Research Interests
