Image Processing Software:

1) MATLAB Blob Detector Code *New

2) Toboggan Edge Preserving Smoothing (See the image at the top of the page for an example): Download binary file

Requirements:

I developed this code in C++ at the top of OpenCV.  You need OpenCV dlls to be installed on your computer. You can download these from here.

Windows users: Run the programme within the command window. Next, go to the directory where you have saved the binary file and type Toboggan “InputImage”

Linux users: Run the programme using wine

The output image will be saved in your current directory
